Life's Many Deaths
Every day we experience life's many incremental deaths: some trifling, others life-changing. SPEC's Elders Circle will be exploring the challenging and fascinating topic: "Life's Many Deaths" at their Salon on Thursday October 12, 5.30 to 8.30 PM at Kitsilano Neighbourhood House.
Participants will have an opportunity to discuss how “everyday deaths” such as something seemingly insignificant as saying good night or goodbye have affected them, as well as larger losses. Thus they can learn more about themselves, about others, about nature - about all things in life. In this way of exploring the small deaths we can examine our mortality to discover that it can be a profound teacher.
All ages are welcome to participate in what promises to be a lively and engaging discussion. There is a minimum $5 (or more) contribution to cover the cost of light refreshments that will be provided.
Please register here. This is very important to provide accurate numbers for catering purposes. Kitsilano Neighbourhood House is located at 2305 W 7th Ave, in Vancouver.
